There is this saying in Polish that sometimes the darkest place is to be found under the lamp post. In visual domain lamp posts at night are like islands of light detached from any point of reference, surrounded by the sea of darkness - like a haven for wanderers... where everything can be seen... batteries and lenses can be replaced... and things to be smoked can be lit...
