My plastic heart

For this week's theme, I thought it was time I shared a little obsession of mine that few know about: vinyl toys.
Usually Eastern vinyl (mostly Japanese) but I'm partial to Western now (North America primarily); my collection is still small but slowly building.
It all happened when I first saw the work of Michael Lau and Takashi Murakami.
My main passion is collecting Dunnys (weird name I know, but they are so cool!) They're hard to get here so I grab them where I find them. They're freely available online but shipping costs... grrrrr. lol Be on the lookout in coming months for shots of these dunnys out and about... hehe
I have also long loved Astro boy - these two toys come straight from Tokyo and were a special surprise back in 1997 from my Mum. Hard to think they've been with me for over 10 years now.
And last but not least, Snoopy.
My dad and I share this collective love - we have a bookshelf of the old Snoopy comic books at my parents' home. These little vinyls are just a few of my small keepsakes in my home.
