The cat has nine lives

I love the complete split in the tortie pattern down her face...

Still loves a play - bit of hide and seek here

This little girl first came over our fence about three months ago. We'd seen her around the place as a kitten, clearly a stray or belonging to someone who just didn't take enough care.
She was always so skinny, and just under 2 months ago I noticed she was pregnant. She's only about 6 months old.
Not long after I noticed, I began to feed her and give her water when she'd come to visit. She was always so affectionate, and often would just want a big cuddle.
And then, suddenly, she stopped visiting. I worried, looked out for her, but no sign, nothing for near on 6 weeks...
Until today, when she suddenly turned up out the back again, and hung out with me and my cats for a couple of hours.
She brought a smile and some hope to my day - her tenacity to survive is just unbelievable, but what's more lovely is that she hasn't lost her ability to love and be loved back.

I don't know if I like more photos or your words. I love animals, especially cats, coexist with 2 and are excellent "friends" for me. Regards

oh that is so sweet! what a precious kitty - and beautiful! great shot of her in #1. i had a cat just like her when i was younger. ok, i revise that statement, i had a cat that looked just like her when i was younger. my cat was mean :-(

this kitty would bring a smile on my face if she visited me too! great post :-)

Has she got a belly? Poor little thing..heart breaking to think of how people treat their aniamls..Glad she has found a friend in you. Lovely post Jess,.. but it does make me a bit said to think of stray animals out there..

Aww how cute is she! It's a shame that people don't look after their pets, we have a stray cat at work she is beautiful, and also pregnant.. At least she has sweet people like you to help her out :)

it's so cute that she came back over to play with you guys! it's great how her claws are out in the second shot reminding you that she may look innocent but that's she clearly can take care of herself ~_^ and i love how in the first one her coloring, esp. in b&w, almost acts as a camoflauge with the mulch and gravel. there's a little stray around us that is so adorable and spunky, i'll have to try and snap a few of her! great set :-D

What a wonderful post! She does have a really cool color pattern along her face and chest. Bummer that she's not been well taken care of ... but cool that she still likes the attention! Did you just adopt yourself a new cat?! =)

OMG, she is so gorgeous! She touches my heart. She is so much like my Spook who just adopted us a little over a year ago. Also a Torti/Calico. Kittys decide who they want to live with, and if we are smart and we listen, we are so blessed by their presence. The look in her eyes in the first shot is so intense. How could anyone not want to fall in love with her??
