lovely words and post and sorry for the struggle as mention in my msg to you .. anyway this is a lovely picture and if we could all even for a bit be like this little cat be in bliss we would be so much better off.. love the cs lewis quote ...this would make a lovely gallery shot !

what a find! this photo is perfect - the pattern, the light on the cat's face, the tranquility of the sleeping cat, the colors... on and on :-) i would have gotten caught up in this too!! and like i've said before - i feel like i'm in a similar position as you. a little discontent, still optimistic, looking for my motivation, getting through the struggle. i find photography really is inspiring and love looking at it on photoblog. and i love when i'm out and about and see something and just get that itch and have to pull out my camera and take a few shots, really trying to get that best angle, my mind is working and i'm not paying attention to anything else (even when it's really cold i don't even notice when i'm in 'the zone'). just focused. and that's what i'm looking for in other areas of my life. that focus. that drive. hope you find it! :-)

FANTASTIC Jess! This shot is amazing, and was definitely worthy of the FP ... you were robbed in my mind! The lighting and the geometric shapes are fantastic. I always get excited when I see a rhombus! As to your recent struggles, I can completely understand where you are coming from. I have been right there with you in the recent past and this forum was a HUGE help in getting me through some rough spots. I may not be the best one here at offering advice, but for me, letting my struggles be known was the most important step towards improvement. The rescue from people that came to my aid was overwhelming. You give so much to this forum, believe me that your feelings have touch a lot of us here. Hang in there buddy!

Really nice and original photo. As for struggles through life...there have been many, will be many. Not wanting to get out of bed...many times that has occurred and probably will occur many more times. I hate it when that happens! Good luck to you in your times of need.

The color, the lighting, the angle.....all perfect. I can relate to the lack of inspiration and not wanting to get out of bed. It is unavoidable as humans. My advice would be to seek out others who are positive and can lift you up. And continue to notice the simple things in life, such as this snoozing cat. I get the feeling you're a strong girl that won't allow yourself to stay down long((:
