i think we can all relate to trying our best to capture what we want to show in photographs. somethings are so beautiful that we just want to share that beauty with others - and photography gives us that chance. that's so neat that you do karate. adorable photo of the little guy in #5!! hehe. and i love the bright green of the last one - i'm wearing a shirt to match it today :-)

These are great! The first and third (especially the first) are fantastic - great use of light and tone. The last one is such a beautiful, vivid green, it's stunning!

preeeetty sure that's the same bookcase we have! i'll have to look at the exact name but it looks darn familiar! your sentiment/narrative/quote is so perfect and true. we surely do try hard to say what we mean in our photos but something is almost always left unsaid or getting semantically confused. alas, it's the joy of the actual artform and the sharing it with others that is truly important, as least for me. i love the texture of the first shot. i don't generally like the 'sepia' tone, but i think that it really lends itself to this particualar photo. i really like the composition of shot three. shot five is an excellent and expressive portrait! nice work! florescent light!? at midnight! interesting... great color contrast with the stark clouds and the bright red building in eight. of course, way to steal my bookcase PFFT...^_~ excellent macros in both of the last two shots. i think that eleven is my favorite from the whole set. i'm glad that we inspired you to do some march reflections. wonderful set tootsy pie! l&h!!

I really like the idea of ending the month like this...a sweet little look back, but in a slightly different view. I may have to try it at the end of April. :) Really nice post.

lovely set, each photo is beautiful. I know exactly what you mean about the photo not turning out how it looks in 'real life', uggh happens to me all the time! I lvoe that each photo is so different, not related at all but you join them all up into a story with your lovely words. Very nice indeed. How cute is that kid!

This is a beautiful set Jess... I think the last one is my favorite though!! :) And good job starting up your karate again! I haven't had time to look into the kick boxing classes yet unfortunately.... and I don't know how much time I'll have with this new job of mine!! Later days at the office and a longer commute than the old job (though i do love the work itself haha).... but I'll sort something out in time I guess :)

Your sunset shots looks very similar to what I have been seeing lately... but then again that's not surprisng seeing as though we're fairly close by. :) Officially in love with your bookshelf, I love the black cubes! (I'd do dark-wood here, but it would make the loungeroom look so small! Perhaps with the next place... Good luck with the karate again :)
