You've managed to convey a sense of nostalgia in that second photo. Lovely series. I like the way the outline of the leaves in the second photo creates such a beautiful negative space. Autumn is a second spring when every leaf's a flower. —Albert Camus

Autumn is over already? But it just started! The leaves are so gorgeous, yet they never seem to last long enough, do they. Will we see photos and get recipes of these hearty soups and meals? *grin*

I love Acer Maples beause their leaves are so different and turn such pretty colors. I also like soup meals, but then again, I eat soup quite frequently for lunch no matter the season. These are gorgeous, but not enough to make me long for autumn!

I can tell why you would hope for it to stay just as it is right now - absolutely gorgeous!! You do such fantastic nature shots Jess... and this post is definitely no exception!! Though I love summer and have been looking forward to it for so long, Autumn is just such a great season, especially after a long summer! I think it is now my favorite season :)

Mmmm... I'll just drink in these red hues a little longer.... (I feel the same about my neighbour's tree, also in its last throes of colour before shedding its last leaves).

The colours are simply beautiful. I adore the dappled light in #3. Autumn is my favourite season in any hemisphere :))

I'm always sad when autumn comes to an end — the best time of the year. But so it goes. Nice shots, beautiful tree.

Nice shots..... so easy to be unaware that as we (here) begin summer.... although you wouldnt think it atm!!... bloody cold and rain.... others, including yourself are settling in to the long winter nights.... as I said previously I look forward to 'seeing' the southern hemispheres version of winter... as detailed by my PB friends "down under"....

No wonder you are wanting that maple to stay as it is...it's gorgeous. I absolutely adore the perspective in these shots. Totally encompasses the beauty of autumn.

ooo i love this sneaky lighting. i don't know what the motivation for my words are here, other than there is soemthing about how the light is just peering through that makes me feel like you've captured something so beautiful that human eyes weren't meant to see. esp. in that third shot. is that the creepiest comment ever or what? lol ultimately, these are incredible. really well done. i of course can see why you'd want them to stay as they are forever. ^_^
