Devil's Den State Park

Overlook close to Devil's Den, not alot of pretty colors, but it was nice

O.k. here I'm not supposed to be climbing around, just had surgery on my foot, so my husband is telling me not to go to far

Here, I stopped, you can see my green left footie, I was trying to be good !

I even waved, but.................

I wanted to sit here, as you can see my body guard came up to make sure that was as far as I went ! And it was.:-(

If you enlarge, off in the distance you can see a bridge, we'll be there in a bit

This is the dam

My daughter and her friend playing like they are fallling off the rocks, knowing I can't rescue them, would have to send the body guard

Over on the other side of the dam you can rent paddle boats, go horseback riding, canoeing............cool stuff

And yep, that is a bat shelter, I will not be hanging around there when the sun goes down, didn't see any inside, but didn't look that close either, my body guard did and wasn't screaming when he walked away, so all is well

Ah yes the walk bridge, starts you off on one of the cool trails that my body guard said "No" because of my foot and this was just supposed to be a drive by

Cool little look out spot on the way down to Devil's Den

While on a recent road trip, I talked my husband into a drive-by at a state park that I had been reading about, Devil's Den State Park. Looks kinda drab right now during winter, but planning a camping tip for the summer and I'm sure, will have better pictures. These are just a few, straight out of camera, no tweaking. Just thought I would give a sneak peak !

the place looks perfect for camping and photography, the deep forests, bridge, creek, the rocks, the bats... i'm sure by the summer your foot will be all right still you will need body guard in devil's den :/) i like the ladies' pic sitting in the middle of the huge rocks

Wonderful, Penny! We were there about 20(?) years ago..I just remember having a cabin and squirrels, and that den is sooooo dark! We'll have to go back too, must be gorgeous in the spring/summer/fall.
