Our first dinner together and the first of many samplings from local Chinese restaurants. Hey, we are in China. Did you really expect to be going the Olive garden or Outback? Though, I will mention that KFC is found all over China, along with McDonald's, Starbucks, Subway, Haagen Daz and a number of other of our finest dining establishments.

Shopping kiosks in the Old City. Don't even think of asking a price unless you are remotely interested in buying. Comparison shopping is almost impossible but bargaining is a hoot once you get used to it.

Rachel Dose Yes! I was chased down the street because I asked the price of a doll; the price went lower and lower but I had changed my mind. Later bargaining was fun!
