Waiting for "čevapčiči"
"Ćevapi (pronounced [ʨɛ'va:pi]) or ćevapčići is a dish of grilled minced meat. It is found in many variants in the countries of the Former Yugoslavia. They may be served on a plate or in a flatbread (called lepinja or somun), often with chopped onions, sour cream, kajmak, ajvar or cottage cheese.
The word comes from the Turkish kebab which in turn has its origin in Persian language (see the etymology section of kebab article). In South Slavic languages word kebak morphed to ćevap, sometimes with the South Slavic diminutive ending -čići (thus ćevapčići). So in Albanian the dish is called qevapi, in Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian ćevapčići or ćevapi (Serbian Cyrillic spelling: Ћевапчићи or Ћевапи), in Macedonian Ќебапи and in Slovenian čevapčiči."
