Best birthday present ever

1960 pink Cadillac. Awesome, but prone to vapor lock and a testy transmission no matter how much money I threw at it. Also had pretty bad body damage on the driver's side rear.

1956 Buick. Equally awesome (and pink), but a bad tranny prevented going in reverse or shifting into higher gears. Top speed: 35mph. A transmission swap would also result in rear-end AND drive train swap. Total cost: astronomical. It had a straight body though.

The newest acquisition. Yeah, it's a 4-door, but so far the only issue is that the headers drag when you go over particularly nasty speedbumps. She's not that pretty, but she's mine.

In the past year, I have been plagued by various car trouble - no matter which car I buy, for some reason I end up getting the raw end of the deal. So like a video game, I trade up and trade up, and this time I think I finally came out on top. She runs and drives, stops, goes in reverse, has a relatively easy motor to work on, nothing needs to be replaced (except for the interior, it last had a makeover about 1979) and the body is straight as you can get short of becoming a republican. The paint is a little rough but who cares! I'd drive a tin can if it could keep up with traffic. Outward appearances aside, I am officially BACK ON THE ROAD!
