Spring flood proving a minor inconvenience in Davenport

In downtown Davenport, water is up to the curb of Beiderbecke Drive at the base of Dillon Fountain on Main Street. LeClaire Park is gaining water on the edges, and many people took advantage of the sunny warm day to river watch.

Wow ... I'm so out of touch! I had no idea the Mississippi was flooding. I have to get back into it. #2 is a wonderful shot ... the framing and the bridge in the background is fantastic. Very well done!

yikes!.....it amazes me to think of so many draught striken places and then see an image like this! If only it was as easy as sharing it around. Composition of the second shot is fantastic!

Wow...in 1970 or 71 a buddy and I crossed that bridge by foot on a very cold night. We were hitch-hiking. Thanks for posting.

Such great shots--I'm glad it's still proving favorable for the enthusiasts....but having had a flooded basement due to rising rivers more than once, hopefully all's well. And I'm also glad it's a warm, sunny day for you!

yikes! i've never really lived in a place where flooding was too big a problem - but i've definitely seen what it can do by watching the news! i'm glad it hasn't become a problem yet. great shots! :-)
