The beginnings.

There are 4 eggs in here. I was unable to get a good angle to capture them all.

All mouth and fuzz!

And the constant precession of worm delivery begins.

Less fuzz and more feathers, but.....

.... still big mouths.

Forever on watch. Either mom or dad was always near.

They remained quite timid even though they have seen me their entire lives.

This open mouth pose was a very common sight!

This was yesterday morning or a few days ago. They were at the point of standing on the nest edge and flapping their wings. I know they were ready to adventure on.

Here are some photos of the Robin couple and their proud accomplishment. 4 fluffy balls of feathers and ferocious appetites. They left the nest this morning as I bent down near their nest to pick up some fallen twigs. All I could hear was the frantic flapping of wings and the screeching of the parents over my head. Needless to say I was unable o capture the moment on film. Or chip. The chicks are now in the undergrowth in a corner of my yard. I will watch for opportunities to capture mother and child as she continues to nurse them along.

This reminds me of a National Geographic magazine or a Disney film! What a wonderful chronology of their little fuzzy lives! I really liked the 9th one, because it was obvious you could get closer to them by that time. (I once cultivated a mourning dove and, by the time her babies were hatched, she would let me climb up and touch her tail feathers on the nest! Such a thrill!!) LOVE this set, Ray, and can't wait to see their progress.
