In the Glow of Sun and Snow

This is the last leaf on the maple tree and it has such a strong will to survive. The background of this shot is the 14 inches of snow that it withstood.

These are leaves of a Nandina bush. The same bushes that produced the red berry in my post 2 days ago. The golden glow is caused by an early morning sun backlighting the bush.

Very beautiful post - amazing the will to survive. Especially like the lighting in the last two - you have captured that early morning glow so well :)

Hey Ray! The starkness of #2 and 4 with the backgrounds are really cool. Love the set! I can see you're not just hangin' around waiting for the shots to drop into your lap!! You're really beatin' the bushes to get great shot for us! That really leaves me feeling good about you! You are really branching out this year! (I HAVE TO STOP. I MUST GET TO WORK.) Beautiful lighting and exposure on these. I love the composition of the curvy branches and the curly leaf in #1, but also the dark bokeh in #4. Nicely done, Ray.

Really cool shots Ray...and those tuff survivers...amazing...what really is amazing to me is....14 inches of snow that you get to enjoy!! And Danrav he was on a roll!!!
