Portrait of Apollo

2015.01.24

Continuing to press the Lumix LX100 to gauge its capabilities, I took it to the Cleveland Museum of Art and resisted my normal impulse to lock the ISO in at base level. Here is a hand-held, no flash portrait of the statue of Apollo Sauroktonos, attributed to Praxiteles. I think it compares very favorably to an image of the same subject matter from a different angle taken with an Oly E-PL2, which confirms my expectation that the LX100 gets me much closer to the same level of IQ I am getting from my main camera than any of my previous large sensor compacts could have.
