During last weekend's homily, the priest said that we must always be thankful for what we have and when we look into the mirror, we must always tell ourselves that we're beautiful inside and outside and we must always see the beauty in everyone and everything around us.
It also kind of reminded me of what Charles Bukowski wrote.
Your life is your life
don’t let it be clubbed into dank submission.
be on the watch.
there are ways out.
there is a light somewhere.
it may not be much light but
it beats the darkness.
be on the watch.
the gods will offer you chances.
know them.
take them.
you are marvelous
the gods wait to delight
in you. -- The Laughing Heart, Charles Bukowski
