Well what did you have for Christmas dinner then?

We had quails eggs and smoked salmon, followed by artichoke, followed by Sea Bass - two fishes cooked two different ways, one (whole) in coconut oil with spices and one (filleted) in olive oil with fennel and herbs and both were delicious.

And for accompaniment we has a mash of potatoes, parsnips, carrots, parsley and celery which was topped and surrounded by chestnuts, and that was simply delicious too!

So a nice healthy Christmas Lunch ! and not too much wine either – a little muscadet.

But of course soon it will be pudding - its cooking now and then there will be the stilton and some amazing French cheese – and some red wine and …..

Tonight there is foie gras and ……

Won’t be healthy for long!

But best of all was having a delightful companion to share it all with!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS !

chrisfly This looks delicious!
Here in the west of Norway there is several specialities for christmas dinners, like: fresh boiled cod with potatoes, bacon, butter and more, and the dish we had is steamed lambribs, with potatoes, mashed swede, and of course spice and more.
Today I`m making Turkey:-) one of my specialities..Merry Christmas, and a happy new year...
