Symmetry and perspective

Symmetry is an imprecise sense of harmonious or aesthetically-pleasing proportionality and balance; such that it reflects beauty or perfection…so says Wikipedia.

And in their own way these gardens at Rambouillet certainly represent all of these things. The gardens are not huge and, apart from those close to the house, not as well tended as you might expect, especially as its now the residence of the Prime Minister (Thanks Tommie!). But they still have this feel of balance and proportion that combines so well with nature. Man made nature of course.

For detox fans – this is the BIG day – day six the day of the liver detox and that means nothing after lunchtime except water and then Epsom salts and lying in bed and …….
