I am in love..... with the Gherkin!!!

2008.02.12
From Whitechapel

From the Tower

From the river looking past theTower

From the south riverbank

From Broadgate

Just past Liverpool Street

With the 12th century church of St Helen's Bishopgate in the foreground

This time the ancient church is St Andrew Undershaft. Old and new sit happily together

Yes, it's true, forget Valentine's, ever since it was built I have had really strong feelings about the Gherkin, Norman Foster's iconic building!

Here are a series of pictures of it taken from a distance which will precede some close up's - Wow!

lexlevans what a crazy crazy building!! and i know this will sound dumb - but i didn't even think about the fact that people worked in it until the close up shots revealed the floors more visibly.

i think it's pretty darn cool - great shots of it. i always think of a bullet when i see photos of it...
