Do you think I'm sexy?

2008.05.20

If you want my body and you think I'm sexy
Come on, sugar, let me know
If you really need me just reach out and touch me
Come on, honey, tell me so

And so on - memories of Rod Stewart no less!

It is Wednesday and I have now done two whole days at my new part-time assignment. As Claude has already pointed out in her blog, as soon as the new moon came things started to change. A positive aspect is an understatement! I was fortunate on Monday to be able to see a beautiful full moon and say thank you in my own way. A good feeling looking at a brilliant happy moon.

For the first time in years I am working regularly in the centre of London and starting and finishing at commuter times. The first thing to say is that the traveling is a bit of a shock ! There is traffic between here and Highbury and Islington (affectionately known as Highbusy) and then - a real surprise, there are other people on the tube - lots of them ! Not always easy to get on never mind read the paper- how good we don't have old style broadsheets any more! nice compact Independent or Guardian.

But hey, plenty of people to chat up. I have been practicing my chat up lines in readiness.
How about
"Did you know you have nits?"
"Tell me, which end of the bath do you sit?"
"Do you normally smell this good, reminds me of my mother?"
"Dandruff can be cured you know"

Funny how no one ever wants to chat.....
Maybe I should just try
"Do you think I'm sexy?"

ClaudePechabaden OH Roberttttttttttttttt!!! OH la laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Chat up lines!
I much prefer, personally, the "Did you know you have nits" because it really shows you care about the person you are sitting next to in the tube. And you would be, potentially, a really good person to have around since you are so honest and caring.

But what about...Crammed away in the tube, looking down her cleavage (or his shirt) the deadly "Do you come here often?" It's a slight cliche but it could work. Particularly first thing in the morning. They are more likely to reply if they are not awake. They may start telling you that indeed, they do come here rather often, and enjoy sitting on the 4th seat in the 3d carriage from the back. But then, careful they don't get sticky... And start asking you about your own nits...

robinray Bob I think your chat up lines - (dissolves into helpless laughter.) (Some minutes later.) Now that's more like sculpture and you've caught exactly how his feet are buried in concrete so he can't run after us. Not of course that he would. Phew, eh? None of that Gormley Gormlessness - how many times can he make a cast of his own narcissistic self and pass it off as sculpture? - and no Boring Caro Girders, hooray! Just a big lumpy friendly ogre waiting to cuddle you. Aah. Just what we all need, I hazard. Loved the salad by the way.
