is it usual for them to have the featherless necks like that? i'm not that familiar with all the varieties of chickens. those are neat chickens. there are some that roam around the amusement park here - they've had chickens there ever since i remember - must take a picture of them one of these days ????? · 2008-09-26: 17:26

Why do chickens look so weird? Half bird, half lizard. (Mind you, they say the same about me.) The reason those necks are naked is to facilitate strangling when the fatal moment for the chicken tikka arrives.
