Interesting shapes on a walk through part of the City of London.
Interesting, I've looked through them a couple of times before commenting. It's hard to capture building in their landscape, or should it be city-scape? However I recognise a few that I've walked past in the last 12 months, and one I was inside.
I can't help but feel "what a mess", nearly all hard lines, sharp corners, odd shapes, silly colours. All shouting "ME! ME! ME!" to get attention and trying block the views and other buildings.
Maybe it's always been like that, boring old blokes like me not seeing the new stuff as great and moaning about how things are changing. But I can't feel there's actually much humanity about a lot of the new building, it's almost like how people relate to them was an after thought, if it was every a thought at all.

wow what a lovely set! Love the pattern in No 7. All of them are great captures! Thanks for sharing
Maybe that's what I'm missing, the ability to stop thinking of them as buildings and part of a landscape in the city, and to be able to look at them as just patterns... I find that hard, my brain sees building, machines for people... I'm probably missing some artistic sense.
BTW Robert, the pictures are very well executed, and nicely framed, I guess I'm starting to side be Claude, it's buildings again :-)

I like the traffic lights in #4, they look like they are having a meeting. (trying to find something I like in the pictures) Thanks for sharing those nice buildings. Maybe you could add a story to them like what they are talking about. Rob I am feeling sick... I think I am allergic to photos of buildings. Why aren't you allergic to my words?
