Saturday - the first of many concerts between now and Christmas - maybe as many as 16!
A nice evening with a lovely mix of Purcell and Mozart.
Followed by a visit to the Harp - one of London's traditional pubs with a superb of beers ! Terry would be in bliss! Mind you I was drinking wine. the Harp shuts at 11.30 and I left to go home on the good old 38 from Charing Cross Road. I just missed a bus and then popped into the Montague Pyke for a nightcap! Complete contrast - this is a huge modern pub with all the trappings of modern pubs! Where as the Harp is tiny and does not have video screens and music and stuff.
Once settled in the Pyke I met this crowd of lovely ladies who were celebrating a birthday. They were huge fun (even if they were from South of the River!) - and it was an unexpectedly nice drink!
Then on the bus home I met someone else - a truly lovely lady. -Unexpected all this human contact - and not normal for me at all!
It was a nice day!!!
