If you look back earlier in the day the top of the Shard was mostly visible - but now the cloud is right down and the top is hidden! But the boats were still coming

This is one of the inflatables that do trips - I can think of more hospitable ways to go down the river!
PS I think that is a portable toilet strapped on the back ....... |
and now the Thames Clippers - impressive!

tourist boats - all packed with people who had paid £££'s to be part of this great day

The Silver Sturgeon - largest tourist boat on the Thames (I think) - certainly the nicest

and in contrast - the Duck tour boats - old WWII amphibious trucks

and then the end - with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra - all in tails! Playing British Music and ending with Land of Hope and Glory as they passed the Royal party

Back at the Cockpit for a well earned warming wine ,,,,,,

some people never braved the crowds - they just watched the tele - and drank..... It was a merry crowd !!!

Cool! What an awesome thing to witness firsthand. Sorry the day was gloomy :( Those WWII amphibious trucks look like they are about to sink! I watched some of the jubilee on the television here in the States but only a little bit of the last day.
