GOOD QUESTION!! and no one had thought of that till you :) As it happens, when they do the party, it's summer and in this part of Portugal (ALENTEJO) it almost never rains... and maybe they talk to the weather guys and move the FESTA back and forth a bit to make sure it will be hot and dry!
