Another smell of autumn
sweet sweet smell
of Concord grapes
warming ripening
ready to burst with flavor
strong urgent smell
lured me closer
spreading outward
from the makeshift arbor
a plume twenty feet wide
enticing, coaxing
me to linger
luxuriate in its aroma
smile at the memory
of other pickings
long ago
Sweet fruit
high above me,
out of reach
up in the canopy
formed by wire and bush

Jij volgt zeker lessen? :-))) Op technisch vlak ga je er met grote sprongen op vooruit, en je was al zo goed bezig!! Waar zal dat eindigen??? Sandra these chestnuts are called Horse Chestnuts and they are from this plant Aesculus hippocastanum. ;) It is one of my favorite trees though! people say its chestnuts outside the bur, are just like normal chestnuts, but when you eat one, you might get very hurt. people say you can even die!
