Former taste chamber,
now there is nothing more to degust,
not even for my ghost.

I strongly discourage drinking this ...
first: Date has been exceeded.
second: It is no beer!!

In 1770 James Liefmans started a brewery in Oudenaarde. Since 1990, the entire company was owned by the brewery "Riva" at Dentergem , but the name and the beers were maintained. There were more than 15 different beers.

In December 2007 Riva brewery eventually went bankrupt after a long legal struggle. The brewery group Duvel Moortgat, from the famous beer Duvel, took over the management, the buildings and on the recipe. Meanwhile, there are again some Riva and Liefmans Beers brewed at the site in Oudenaarde.

Now the buildings are owned by a contractor who has big plans with them: Build houses, but also space for industrial zones.

livelovelaugh This is a fantastic post! You've captured the ruins in such a way that we can easily see what it must have been like in it's glory. :)

????? How sad, but I really like 3 and 9. THIS Is the Milwaukee Depot in my old home town. It has been out of operation for many many years, but has been restored and has lovely restaurants and shops in it. People should care more about historic preservation.
:o(
