The title that I hit first while making these photographs was "the germfree room".
I thought while printing it.
If the person who yet passes through no external experience is shut in in the germfree room, how does the person live?
I thought at the same time.
How does the person who cannot pass through an experience live?
The news of the brutal crime to be caused in Japanese many places covered the television at that time.
Such crime may have been somewhere from old days.
However, I do not know the old days.
It is this time now that I live.
Therefore it is possible for me only to feel this time now.
I could not help feeling fear as mother of one child then.
What will happen to this child if I brought up this child in the unsocialble world?
What will happen to this child if I snatched the experience that this child oneself should pass through?
What will happen to this child if I have snatched that this child experiences it by oneself, thinks by oneself and act by oneself?
We can get various information now when we pass through an experience.
The public is filled disgustfully even if we do not want to hear the information.
When such a place must have been the world that I was able to paint filth with first, I imagined it.
However, there may be us in "the germfree state" at the same time.
We who got too much information may mistake own experience for simple information.
We are exposed to the information that was full of sense of realities every day like that.
Therefore the present world can live with having mistaken information for an experience of we oneself.
Therefore we can taste only the feeling even if we do not really act on a thought by oneself.
If a certain meaning is in the germfree state, may not you express the world of now of such us in other words?
The germfree state is really terrible.
It is really terrible we do not judge it from we oneself, and not to act.
The germfree state looks like the thing which it is at a glance very transparent, and is beautiful.
It lets me have admiration for an instant.
However.
I intended I was black, and to print photographs first.
However, I was white and was white, and I printed photographs when I noticed it.
The photographs which I was white and was white, and was printed.
These photographs may look beautiful at a glance.
However, what hides behind this white?
What do we lose behind this blankness?
I want to know it.

i actually think i know what you're talking about here. maybe also known as political correctness. i tell you what we lose, we lose passion. everyone becomes an equal.
you have conveyed the dead whiteness. the idea of 'germfree' - where germ is life. germ is something that can grow. through the challenge of language, you create a poetry.
