Someone told me once that it's unlucky to hang a horseshoe upside down, because it lets all the luck run out. Not sure where that superstition originated, but it was obviously not known to the individual who hung this horseshoe. There are yellow horseshoes throughout Hopewell Furnace, they mark the Horseshoe Trail between Hopewell Furnace Historical Site and French Creek State Park.

I really love the serene feeling floating through the grass in #1. My fav is #6 for its superb composition and light. Very interesting set.
