Day 5:
these summer school holidays are going to exhaust me, but I made a decision at the end of school to do as many things as possible with the kids, before I have to go back to work mid January, when I would then only have afternoons free....

SO to keep the boys amused and my sanity in check, a friend and I took our boys (five in total, ages 3-6), on an excursion to Penguin Island.
I had never been before today, and I must say the boys really wanted to see penguins after seeing the movie Mr Poppers Penguins.. hence our trip,when I realised right off the coast of Western Australia, a mere hour away from home, we had an island with penguins on it!!
A fabulous 6 hours later and a few penguin sightings by the kids (not many as the hide during the day due to the fact that they are going through their moulting period,so most were hidden from sight...) we headed home..
But we did also see numerous pelicans, a few sea lions and of course other birds which weren't as shy...

This is one day trip we will definitely be doing again!
