11. Even plastic flowers are not ubiquitous here. They stretch the need to return.

14. They planted me with real flowers and never returned.

Hidden Bath - Part 7

Today I return to exploring a hidden side of Bath not much frequented by visitors, and as you shall see, not even by residents.

The idea for today's posting came while I was looking at family photos taken of visits to the graves of my wife's Czech ancestors. I was immediately struck by the care lavished by the Czechs in contrast to the abandonment by Bathonians with ancestors in the Lockswood Cemetery in Bath. Perhaps the latter has arisen form a more transient population and the increasingly chosen options in the UK of pagan burials and cremation. Although this cemetery has a neglected air it is full of wild flowers and bird life.
