Interesting set of your philosophy of life !! Let me combine: * You are a yoyeur (#1) * You are a rubber (AND womens shoes!!)fetishist (#2 #20) * You practise Bohemian life (#3) * You are immoderate orderly (#6 #19) * You don`t have washing lines (#7) * ...because of #7 you urgently need additional income! (#8) * Sometimes you run one's head against a wall (#9) * You get hung up about size ( LOL !!) (# 17) and dream about double length !!! Ok - I think I will stop now - to give your other friends a chance to comment your series! ;-))

that's quite a sentence, you know... but it's also typical oscar wilde, the bloke that never got tired to twist and turn every term until it meant nothing anymore (classical dandy behavior). i don't understand it fully myself, but i guess simplicity IS somehow an illusion, a necessary model of the complex reality. it doesn't change the complexity of reality to try to understand it by modeling it in a simpler version. hence, all the patterns we see and find so compelling in our perceptional domains. maybe it's US HUMANS who are simple minds. no matter how complex we think we can be as intellectuals, simplicity is what makes us happy puppies. ;-)

Thanks for your insight Eidea. Part of my answer would be to reflect on tomorrow's entry on The Encyclopaedia of Stupidity where Matthijs van Boxcel says that stupidity is the mystical foundation of our existence (Read his book to see why!) and that simplicity creates the best stupidity and so better wisdom Think of it as a photograph. If you cut a corner of the above image you could magnify it to the same size but it will no longer match the original image but will be an enlargement of the corner only. But if the image were a holographic image the corner would recreate the entire image again if enlarged, even over many iterations with gradually decreasing clarity. The simple in the complex is like a mandelbrot which is a complex design composed of iterating nested simplicities. See and try it for yourself. Now that is food for thought!
