No War, No Terror

In visiting a number of internet sites about South Korea I came across the music of Sung Mo born on February 28, 1977. He is a famous Korean singer who mainly focuses on ballads. He debuted in 1998, and became popular with a sad, romantic ballad titled "To Heaven." Jo is notable for his many "million sellers", as his first few albums were widely popular. He is currently serving his mandatory military service.

Here is Jo Sung Mo's sad song If You Were Mine by Jo Sung Mo

It is about love and dreams amid tragedy and the sheer futility of conflict and war. When I heard this song I thought of a picture I had taken in Wells Cathedral in Wells, Somerset, England. I have no idea why I made the connection but it seemed to resonate.

I hope you enjoy his beautiful voice as I did.
