25 June Morning - Windjana Gorge

A weird fossil thingy. I've got more details i think - if you can wait til later.

This is where the crocodiles are still sleeping. I didn't see them. The best time for croc watching is later in the day or late afternoon.
|
But in the morning, the water is so still and its lovely for reflections.

Destination: Windjana Gorge to Lennard River very nice here.
Distance: 20km
Departure time: 10.10
Water - No water along the road until Lennard which is full of water. A lovely spot just near the turnoff. High up on a cliff.
I went for a stroll in the gorge this morning but unfortunately there were no crocs out on the beach. They prefer the afternoon or even from about 10am. Oh well its not as if I haven’t seen any before.
On the road this morning, it was a bit annoying. My clothes bag kept falling off the back and then the road was all corrugations so it was a somewhat slow going. Not too much sand.

great spot dealing with crocs is not my forte. what do you do? yell? hit them across the head? i hope you had a rifle.
