15 July - Wyndham from the Lookout

A desaturated view over an aussie landscape.

Hit by a car.

This is a vine that i'd like to have growing somewhere in my garden. I know exactly the spot for it and i've even got a few cuttings. I think.

True colours. This is a bit of wyndham. You can see some hills in the background. A few days previously i was on the other side of those hills. Remember the picture of me with them in the background? That was from the other side as i descended down into Home Valley Station. Now I've returned to civilisation.

I'm up on Wyndham's quite famous - and deservedly so - lookout hill. It was a steep climb on my bike. About 5km and even without my gear, i had to get off and push sometimes. But worth doing all the same. You can probably see a river or two over there. There are five rivers converging on Wyndham which is pretty amazing really. This small town is the northern most town in Western Australia.

Looking northwards now. We are very close to the sea here.
pixel
More close than the last but the same view.
pixel
Probably even closer.

More directly below me is this ore loading site. There's quite a bit of mining going on in this region. Everything from diamonds downwards - that's the beauty of being an old country i guess.

The mangroves and sand flats are quite picturesque.

Today was all about riding up the hill and then moving on to my next location i think.

JenPat That's one hell of a climb. Great view though.
