Contradiction

Ok, so here is my first photo. I have a new iphone that I want to use and plan to use that for future photos, but to get started here is an archived photo. I took this picture (well I guess I had it taken) in China at the Forbidden Palace. The idea that I am sitting in a palace that was once controlled by an emporer and then a communist government surrounded by travellers from all over the world is just kind of mind boggling to me. Maybe I am just overthinking it.....
