I grew up on the East coast and they are everywhere, they're locally called Black Shags, weird. They can do quite a bit of damage to trees where they nest, Pokeshaw Island, in these photos used to have a lot of trees. Nice shots BTW.

You have done really well in capturing the birds. I have tried the same, but with no real success. Maybe an SLR digital would do the job :)

Terrific capture. I was in Florida these past few day. Saw a few cormorants down there around Rainbow Springs. Very interesting birds.
