Timing is everything, isn't it?! I prefer the warm light of the cold winter in the first shot, but both are fantastic. I too am looking forward to your 'unusual' duck post!

It's a great example of how light changes! I like the contrast it gives your photo in #1. But I really like the tones in #2.
