A Coyote.. Not tame, but truly wild.. We met and this is the look I got. I wonder what my face looked like??
I hope he was licking his chops cuz he has already eaten and I wasn't on his menu??
We were NOT going to turn our backs on each other!! No Way!!
Oh good he has already eaten... WHEW!!
They are very pretty or handsome.. He got so close I couldn't fit him in my 400mm fixed lens.... AAAhh what an exhilirating walk..... Truly gets the heart to pumping a little quicker!!!

What an exciting experience, and what fantastic shots you got from it! Has his manner changed toward you since you have run into each other a few times?

He's gorgeous and these are beautiful photos of him. I like coyotes. I know they have a bad reputation but they are wily and will survive when most other predators will be driven away. I've also met a couple on my early morning walks, cool experiences for sure!

GREAT Set!!! I love those lil guys. We have them wild around my house and my neighbor says there's a den on his property. The sad thing is, that as more city people move out here, they want the coyotes eradicated so that they can either sleep better at night or have lil rat dogs that are currently on the coyotes menu. Most of us who have lived out here awhile have a couple medium to large dogs and because a coyote is a bit more delicate than a large dog, they tend to leave them alone. Still, coyotes are fun to watch and "Try" to befriend.
