Silke, I totally understand. Naturally you have to do what is important in life. You are right, it does require a lot of time to be here. Silke, I agree with Patty. Your family is much more important than this photoblog!! And I totally understand about the time pressures, because I am feeling much of the same thing. (And my children are grown, so that pressure isn't there for me.) I will miss you very much because I always smile or laugh or admire when I see your posts and your comments. You are and have been a very vital part of this blog..... If you could come around occasionally it would be very nice. Then we wouldn't lose you entirely..... And please post on Monday that Elke is OK after her surgery? As ever, Carley

It sounds like you have a very busy life. You are right to prioritize your time and put your family first. You can make this photoblog whatever you want it to be. Just remember that you can post photos or comments anytime its right for you. Don't feel obligated to work at this, but any time you need to share or express yourself, we are here. I personally appreciate all the energy that everyone contributes to this site.

dear silke very good decision! i bow to you to have announced it this boldly, you even beat me to that. i very much feel the same; photoblog is a huge waste of time, but then again, almost everything you do with the internet and on web 2.0 is nothing but a waste of time. it's good to see that you've found out about it and act accordingly... and as much fun as it was to comment here, i'm glad i don't have to check your page for changes anymore... :-) have a great life and don't drown yourself in work, kids & home duties - there's still a lot of fun to be had in reality and web 2.0 can always only be a crutch for the temporarily impaired! all the best, michael

Silke .. you have to do what you have to do .. but you will be very missed and it is very hard to balance a hobby like this and to talk to all friends ...ect... your humour and niceness will be missed so much because you are so unique.. and a wonderful person.. have fun in all you do and please do visit when you can ..I know I am also cutting back on my time here ... much love to youxx

Dear Silke! As a mother I can fully understand your decision... I think in the near future I have to think about it myself too... Jamie is still very young, when I work on the computer, he is happy to sit next to me and fascinated about everything I do (and manage to switch off the computer in the middle of work!) but as he will be older, will need more and more challanges and our duty is to enable them to learn and experience, and this costs our full time and attention! You made the right decision, and your children will definitely appreciate it! I am lucky, because I work back home and therefore I have great respect for you for beeing able to manage so much in the same time, and now you want to give your children even more! It is great to hear that Elke is fine! Take care, will miss the lough you gave me day by day!
