Flowers 1. This is the edge of the slope going down to Pompei. I really like the dark bands on the slope behind it. Only wish I'd managed to get the depth of field a bit better here so the rocks in the foreground were softer...

Cool pix. Yes, camera definitely too good to pass up! With so much loose rock and dirt in the crater, it's hard to imagine the hellfire it spouted way back when. Mt. St. Helen's at least spouts steam regularly--just to remind us what it is capable of. Suggested caption for the beware of falling rock pic: "Ummm, wasn't my car here a minute ago?"
