Paris Friends.

2008.11.29
Paris street on our way to the crystal shop. Woohoo!

You can never escape!

Near the Opera, on our way back from a delicious overload of sushi. Mmm!

The Opera. Yes, the one that Phantom of the Opera is based upon. Neat! (I went inside in June, but haven't yet posted the photos.)

Seija and Armelle discuss energy healing techniques and crystals and whatnot in rapid-fire French. At least, that's what I think they were discussing. It could have been about balloons.

Blurry Pierre. He has had a rough couple of weeks and was rather mopey when he arrived. As he sometimes works as a tour guide, I decided he should advertise Pierre's Depressing Tours of Paris. Dot com. I think there is a real market for goth, emo, and vampire fan types who would totally enjoy going to crypts and the scenes of heinous crimes. And an Edward Gorey* illustration would adorn his business card. I have it all planned out!

Alas for my plan, we cheered him up. Le sigh.

Tiyoung, Fred, and Youna. :)

Youna is confused by daddy's superhero-like hand speed. (Psst! It's because your father is a robot!)

The duck! Served in a delicate honey sauce, mmm!

Saturday was a day of crystal shopping and visiting with friends. Although Le Tour Eiffel and Moulin Rouge were fabulous, what really made this trip magical were all my friends. Sunday was also nice for this same reason. I am sad that we didn't get to see David this trip, but I am quite certain I will be going back. And soon. :)

Armelle and I started out by going crystal and stone shopping. We then went and gorged on sushi from the same place I went to with Aarin in June. It was, once again, totally awesome.

Then we went and met Seija at a little Swedish Christmas fair. Armelle was very excited about the "Glögg," the Swedish version of hot, spiced wine. Not just wine, though. You also put in scoops of sliced almonts and dried fruit. Yum!

Pierre met us there. Just as Seija was leaving, Fred arrived, bringing Tiyoung (his wife) and baby daughter, Youna. Everyone was so darned warm and sweet, it was awesome. Such lovely, lovely people.

Later, Armelle and I went to meet with a friend of a friend of hers from San Francisco. I took a picture of the duck.
