A Walk Around The Walls of York

Our home from home where they have the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.

York is home to the National Railway Museum, where you can discover over 300 years of history and over a million wonderful objects.

'York Minster' is a Gothic cathedral and is one of the largest of its kind in Northern Europe.
|
The Minster is the seat of the Archbishop of York, the second-highest office of the Church of England.
|
York has more miles of intact city walls than anywhere else in England, and some sections of the walls date back to Roman times.
|
The majority of the wall dates from the 12th to the 14th century.

As today is the start of a bank holiday weekend in the UK, my friend, Pam, and I went for a visit to the beautiful city of York.

My husband was at Uni in York many years ago and I have fond memories of walking the snickleways, trying to get a pushchair down some of the smaller ones on a return visit some years later! lucky you finding that comfortable bed in the B&B.
