Ok what's the deal with the photo description on top of the pic now? Sigh.
Well I was inspired to finally get some stuff hung up and other things done around the house to make it more homey while babysitting today. Needing to get away from the kids is what probably inspired me! The flowers got weeded and our yard is so cute now. You can't see the patch of pretty grass behind the man-eating flowers, but it's cute.

I absolutely love a comfy made-up bed (even better with a book on it ready to jump in and read) in the morning and all throughout the day. It just makes me happy. I finally put my duvet cover back on and it made a world of difference. I did alot of little stuff around the house like adding pictures and candles like on our bedside table.

I finally hung the infamous Gross family picture in the upstairs hall. This picture has been in our house since I was born, when my brother and I moved out we hung it in our house, when he moved to another place it was in his apt, and now it's in my house!

The girls are spending the night Monday night, so that's another reason I was happy to be fixing up the guest room. I let them pick their linens, and they did a cool thing. The fitted sheet is sea and fish, the sheet is water, and then the comforter is a beach and sea and dolphins. So it's like your sleeping in the sea! lol

I hung up the pic of my horse Cowboy that my Aunt Sudie painted for me. This is one of my prized possessions. It's really funny that I happened to fix the room up before the girls spend the night soon, because it really looks like a girls room of their age. haha I would defiantly not have the stuff animals or the dolphin comforter on or the colors out if a guy were staying with us!

Ok I'm really proud of this. I have had no papsan cushion for a long time, and I was so tired of looking at a sad empty wooden papasan. So I took a comforter and put it in it like a cushion, then laid my feather comforter over that and added some pillows. It's really cute and SO comfy! Not to mention, the guest bedroom has a GREAT view out the window. I love looking out onto woods.

Ok I didn't do anything to the bookshelves cause they are perfect, but I added the lamp. It dosen't seem like much but it was a pain to figure out what to do cause we needed more light for dd nights, and there was no where the lamp looked right, until I put it there. So I was happy. (Notice Tony's Christopher award on top of the bookshelf) :)
