Day 62: More Fun In The Country

2008.07.01
I was out at Sheri's at 7:45 this morning to babysit, and I sat out on the porch while the girls rode their bikes. It was SUCH an absolutely beautiful morning.

There was a cool breeze blowing, yet sunlight was just warm enough, everything was so green, the fish were jumping in the lake, the birds were chirping, it was fantastic.

I just sat and stared and breathed and soaked it up.

I love trees

Hummingbirds were a plenty and I was ecstatic to get one on my camera.

Tyler turned the camera on me.

Looking back at that pic after she took it gave me the idea for this pic for some reason. What can I say, I was bored. I loved how it came out though, it's kinda weird.

Some snails unknowingly wandered into Tyler's view.....

The poor things. They had no idea. She immediately grabbed a box and started drawing them a house inside. Complete with living room, bathroom, dining room, and bedrooms. (It was a 2 bedroom box) Those pink things are the streamers from her bike, which ended up serving as pink curtains (or, pink comforters or pink rugs) inside the 2 bedroom Snail-mansion.
.......

BOO!

I had some cat lovin' while the girls swam.

After swimming, Tyler and I went through the fridge experimenting with "smoothies". We'd take things like Thin Mint girl scout cookies, peaches, ranch dressing, (separately, not together) etc, stick it in the blender with some vanilla ice cream and sugar, and viola. Tyler would write down the "recipe" as we made it, and we would rate them after taste testing. The one I think they should actually patent and serve? "Sweet tea smoothie" It was delish!!!

helga984 Ok, I want to go back to the days when summer was about making snail houses out of a shoebox, and creating who-would-ever-drink-this creations from the fridge. Kim....you have got to be living vicariously through them.
