Day 156: Ain't Much Better Than Burgers And A Movie
2008.10.03
I love the outdoor mall that the movie theater is at here. Today we went to see Appaloosa, which I was scared was going to be bad because the critics are loving it lol, but it was very very very good. The acting, simply amazing. I would put Jeremy Irons and Ed Harris up for Oscar nominations, and I almost never say that. It was slow at times near the end.. and I wanted more character development because the characters were SO interesting, but there is only so much of that you can do unless you make it LotR-long. It's not for everyone, and a love for westerns helps, but it was just so not your typical western and had such a subtle rarely-seen kind of humor in it. Tony and I really did not expect to giggle that much through that movie!

Tony trying out his cool face. I am biased, I love westerns (but only very few because they can easily be bad) and 3 of my favorite men (Ed Harris, Viggo Mortensen and Jeremy Irons in those outfits and on horses? Mmmmm) but Tony isn't biased by those things and he really liked it too.
