Above are two courgettes (known as zucchini to some), the big one was harvested from the garden this morning, the small one was bought at the supermarket yesterday. Our courgette also tastes better than the supermarket bought ones :)
Been trying to get a lightning trigger working today, I've come up with a rough design, but it needs a lot of tweaking before it'll be good. This is a device to trigger the camera when there's a flash, not something to cause lightning to rain down on someone; although that might be fun ;)
New camera stuff on dpreview, looks like Canon has a new version of their
image stabilization hardware. Hopefully that'll make its way into a macro lens soon :)
Fuji also made some interesting product announcements, the interesting ones are all SuperCCD based:

and most interesting of the lot, a 3D digital camera:

They've also announced a 3D viewer, and 3D printing service. This could be significant.
