Oddly the leaves in the background look marginally overexposed, but they aren't, they're just a very flat green colour.
My red Dahlia has finally started to bloom today, so here's a shot of it. I've selectively desaturated the background (use Select/ColorRange), and brightened it up a little. The red's pretty accurate though, it's very... err... red ;)
This reminds me of a limerick:
There once was a man from Australia,
who painted his d--k like a Dahlia,
the colour was fine,
the detail divine,
the scent?
ahh, that was a failure!
