Day one on the our Roman holiday was mostly taken up with travelling; we left home at around nine in the morning but didn't get into our hotel until about half seven that night what with the flight delay and the tackling of public transport! We did have time to grab some food and head up to the jazz festival in Villa Celimontana. There was a fantastic jazz quintet playing lots of bluesy numbers in the most beautiful setting for a concert I've ever been in.
Thanks for the comment! What part of Rome is that? It looks very lively.
As for the line in that tree picture, have you tried using a blower to clean out the lens and/or body? I had a black spec in my pictures when I first got my camera, then noticed it was on the lens itself (who knows how it got there). But I hope that's the answer!
