The Longneck or Karen tribe live mainly in Burma,however I met up with this group on the northern border of Thailand.With a single brass rod that coils around the neck,the neck is stretched to give this appearance in the name of Beauty!I do not judge them,but only look with intrigue and respect.this is their culture,their choice,their belief and they are happy.one coil equals one year of their life and usually stops after they marry.It is heavy,hot,and must be so very uncomfortable to sleep in,but they do this anyway.In western society where women are having Breast Augmentations,Botox,Liposuction,Plastic Surgery for everything,all in the name of Beauty.here again I look with intrigue and give respect.Ha!Ha! On the lighter side of things,I always Secretly wished women had tails,so I could pull on them like a school boy pulling on his first puppy dogs tail.Mmmmm....yes I think that would be fun!
