Blending with your environment isn't always easy,but as I found out the other day the Thai Army does it well!


Keeping an eye on the border,and on patrol,this group of soldiers welcomed me for a quick photo shoot and a break in their routine.
Never can tell who you might run into when traveling the backroads.

First and foremost, the military and I ... do not go together AT ALL ... (since I was not allowed to participate when I was 18 and thank God for that, violence, weapons, war .... interesting pictures, to say the least. interesting thoughts in your above comment as well. i find the contrast between these laughing, slightly embarrassed, somewhat shy and definitely not macho soldiers and the killing instruments they are wearing like toys rather baffling. since we're all clearly are NOT going along, neither here in europe nor in asia, africa or america, i tend to believe like you that the military is a necessary evil. however, maybe makingsoldiers smile is the best way to make them agreeable... and you succeeded in that. :-) stormfish · 2012-07-02: 10:24
